BRETT POSTEN

CO-FOUNDER / PRINCIPAL

Brett started in advertising as an intern at Polo Ralph Lauren in New York and quickly learned that there was both science and art in creating effective marketing. Jumping to the agency side, he joined McCann Erickson New York as a creative and wrote advertising for brands including Sam Adams, Gateway, Motorola, Sprint, Glenfiddich Scotch, and MasterCard, among others. He's won addies, effies, obies, tellys, and other assorted industry awards with funny names.

In 2000, Brett co-founded ideocore in southern California, which was one of the first agencies focused on launching venture-backed startups. With offices in Santa Barbara, San Francisco and New York, ideocore launched just about every kind of company you can imagine - from wineries to tunable lasers to oxygen concentrators to hispanic phone companies.

Additionally, Brett co-founded Aviesta.com, which in 2012 was one of the fastest growing online retailer and was subsequently sold in 2014. From 2013-2016, he served as Chief Brand Officer at Dimensional Innovations where he led the rebranding of the award winning design/build firm.

A graduate of the University of Virginia, Brett is a native of Kansas City, and his family would say he loves golf as much as he loves them. As a board member of the Gordon Parks Elementary SchoolSt. Paul's Episcopal Day School and the UMKC Regnier Institute for Entrepreneurship and Innovation at the Bloch School, he's always loved how education can deliver those "a-ha" moments that change people's view of themselves and the world around them.
